SEW-Eurodrive Victoria Cup Carnival

01 December 2008

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) has today launched a unique promotion aimed at providing one sporting or social club with a lucrative early Christmas present.

To celebrate the running of the SEW-Eurodrive Victoria Cup Carnival at Moonee Valley on Saturday nights, December 13 and 20, HRV has launched the 5-Star Party Promotion that will see one lucky club walk away with $5000.
For their chance to win the prize, sporting or social clubs need to visit www.viccup.com.au and register their details before 5pm (AEDST) on Wednesday, December 17.
HRV will then forward each registered club an allocation of admission tickets to attend the SEW-Eurodrive Victoria Cup meeting on Saturday night, December 20 where they can enjoy a 5-Star Party whilst witnessing the sport’s elite in action.
Registered clubs will be invited to lodge their entries between 5pm and 8.30pm trackside on this night with the winning entry drawn following the running of the SEW-Eurodrive Victoria Cup.
The more members each club has in attendance the better their chance of winning the $5000 prize with each member entitled to lodge one entry on behalf of their registered club.
HRV General Manager – Marketing and Events, Lucy Brennan, expects the 5-Star Party Promotion to be a real attraction amongst sporting and social clubs.
“Sporting and social clubs are vital cogs in the community and we’re recognising that by giving them a unique opportunity to win $5000, which will be a year’s funding for some, whilst allowing them to enjoy one of the biggest nights on the racing calendar on us,” Brennan said.
“The MHRC Deck Bar will play host to a 5-Star Party right opposite the winning post on SEW-Eurodrive Victoria Cup night with SEN’s Daniel Harford hosting a great night of racing, live music and giveaways that all the clubs can enjoy.
“The promotion is open to all sporting or social clubs, big or small, who register online at www.viccup.com.au and then bring their members to Moonee Valley on Victoria Cup night. As each member can lodge one entry on behalf of their club those who maximise their number of attendees will have the best chance of winning the $5000 for their club.”
Gates open at 5pm on both nights of the carnival with the first of 10 races on each at 6.30pm. Christmas party dining packages are still available and can be booked on 1300 79 79 59.
